A brief list of Bittorrent and Gnutella clients available.
Bit Tornado

Network : BitTorent.
Description : A basic bittorent client, based on an experimental version of the original bittorent client [Shadow's Experimental Version]. While its pretty straight forward it may be a bit harder for the non technical user to get around this one. Not Known to contain any spyware / adware.
ABC

Network : BitTorent.
Description : A bittorent client with a graphical interface and a better range of options available to the average user. It is based on BitTornado and is not known to contain any spyware. One of the longest running graphical bittorent clients.
BitComet

Network : BitTorent.
Description : Another popular graphical client. It is stable but can have some problems with the way some torrents are named. Allows queing and simultaneous downloads within the graphic user interface. It also contains internal links to torrent indexing sites.
No spyware or adware reported in the client.
MooPolice

Network : BitTorent.
Description : Graphical bittorent client created by a german group. Although not the most appealing graphically it is still a solid and stable client. No adware or spyware has yet been reported about this client.
BitPump

Description : Based on the Azureus client it is a good graphical client with a lot of options and one of the best clients for people starting up with the bittorent concept. It is not known to contain any adware/spyware.
Gnuttela Clients

A very fast and powerful Gnutela client which contains no adware or spyware. There are two versions, a free and a pro. The free version essentially limits some of the internal features such as number of searches. One of the most popular P2P clients currently on the net and very easy even for the novice user to get around.

One of the oldest Gnutela clients it has survived a long time and its users highly praise it. It has a nice graphic user interface and is able to search both the Gnutela and the Gnutela2 networks.
BearShare Lite

A very popular Gnutela client. There are 2 versions : lite and pro. The Lite version is supported through banner ads while the pro version doesnt contain any ads. Please note that the banners that support it do not constitue adware or spyware.
ShareAza

Network : Gnutela, Edonkey, BitTorent.
A mutli-faceted P2P client that connects to several networks, including Gnutela and bittorent. It may be seen as a tad complicated for the novice user. No adware or spyware reported at the time being.
